This tough rotationally molded polyethylene panel is injected with insulating foam and includes a sturdy tie down ring on both the inside and outside. Threaded anchor inserts are molded in for mounting furnishings.

One of the ongoing challenges of tall folks is a tub that will accommodate more than 1/3 of our length at any given time.  Add the original, good looks of Studio Thol’s design, and you might just have a solution.

This project is a continuation of one of my graduation projects at the Design Academy Eindhoven, wherefore I have done research into the use and properties of fibre reinforced plastics.  The frame is laminated from strips of 3mm thick (American White) oak, bent over a mould. 
The tub is made of a polyester, marble composite.

I’ve know a few “live-aboards” in my life and they vary greatly. Some are real blue water sailors just laying over for a while, others are basically just “camping” and others are living quite well in their floating homes.  But this floating home from Rieul-Useful is on a completely different level.  It combines boat house, tiny home movement and stylish studio in a really stunning home.

Having suffered my fair share of gadget accidents, I’d still have to test this out thoroughly before putting my trust in it. If it works though, what a great way to have to avoid putting all sorts of awful permanent or semi-permanent stuff on the back of your gadgets.

Just like a gecko’s amazing feet, the Grippy Pad will hold all sorts of things in place. And all without a single magnet, velcro strip, or sticky adhesive in sight.
