It’s coming from an unnamed Google employee, but it doesn’t sound entirely far-fetched. Google is, according to the Financial Times’ sources, asking employees to work on either Mac OS X or Linux systems, purportedly barring the installation of Windows on Google-owned desktop systems. It comes partly as a result of the cyber-attacks Google experienced in China, but also as part of a wider effort to “run Google using Google products,” presumably including the browser-based Chrome OS in the near future.
